    Default Free Bio Willie concert

The old truck stop in Carl's Corner's (I35E Exit 374) is reopening as Willie's Place this summer. Rumor has it that Willie Nelson won the place from his old compadre Carl (they grew up together in Abbott, Tx. about 16 miles South) in a card game. Probably just went in together to promote BioDiesel but it's a good story. Anyway many millions and some corporate partners later the place is reopening as a Truck Stop, Theater and XM radio broadcast location for the Willie's Place XM Radio Channel (13).
There are free concerts scheduled for July 1,2 & 3 with David Allen Cole and Ray Wiley Hubbard on the 1st and 2nd and Willie, Merle, and Ray Price on the third. I posted this in Planning because this isn't set in stone yet, they may not have the facility ready in time and may have to postpone. Here is a link to the website: http://www.biowillieusa.com/index.php
Food and drinks are available of course but NOT FREE. An interesting fact is that Carl's Corner is incorporated as a city and does not have a Police Dept. There are the Hill County Sherrifs Deputies of course, but Willie can do no wrong in their eyes. Should be a good ol' outlaw time.

If my 4th of July New Mexico trip falls through, then I'm so there... it'll be the 5th time I've seen Willie live... NEVER a dull moment!

Seriously, EVERYBODY should see Willie LIVE at least once before they die...

even if you don't like country (me) you like Willie.

Still think Kinky should be Guv, and Willie should be head of Agriculture

Kinda like the Larry Joe Taylor weekend.

It will be a blast, even if you are not into the "Long haired, tattooed, hippie freak, Outlaw Country.

I wouldn't mind seeing David Allen Coe and Ray Wiley Hubbard, again.

    Ray Wiley:

Well Ramona likes the Shiner Bock beer
And the band from England that's called The Alarm
She said she cried when they broke up
She still plays their records at the snake farm

    Chorus

    Sometimes Ramona calls me up
And says come on down here, it's getting warm
    She runs everybody off
    And we...you know...it's a snake farm

Been there done that. First 2/3 of the show was incredible, but by the end he was really drunk.

He sat on the edge of the stage after the show and signed autographs for over an hour. He refused to get up until every last person that wanted an autograph or picture with him was happy. I have worked nearly 100 shows and the only other performer I saw do that was Gallagher.

Saw Willie in the mid 80's at Billy Bob's, I really did not want to go. But I'm glade that I did. One my top 10 concerts every. VERY entertaining. And I only knew about 1/4 of the songs.
Hmm what is decent? Are we talking about your decent or my decent? I'm just curious because I don't want to offend anyone else's decent...
