I thought the SCCA always hosted the SAE guys??
This will be the first year they run with ER. The main reason is that Dr. Bob Woods prefers Pennington Field for the FSAE cars to run at, and with the SCCA event at TMS on the Bus Lot in July, (plus grid would have been even tighter with the FSAE cars there). It's local and the parking/grid layout works out pretty good for them. They will filter in just like they did with SCCA, parking over by the motorcycles.
They have a big get together and event at UTA on Saturday and then run with us on Sunday. The cars are coming from all over, including South Dakota. It's becoming a pretty big event. Last year they ran with SCCA but the SCCA event wasn't at Pennington Field, and it didn't work out as well as he had hoped.
As a side note, ER has been supplying the trailer and timing equipment for the Sat. event for the past few years.
I hope this doesn't discourage you from coming out and running with us on Sunday, but I do know there will probably be 30 to 40 FSAE drivers running with us. The final number can change depending on how many of the cars survive Saturday, as it seems like we loose 2 or 3 cars a year to mechanical issues.

At least these guys are FAST! Not like having a bunch of novice drivers out for the first time. I love watching the FSAE cars, even though it makes for a long day in the heat.
