Thread: Know this car?

    Default Know this car?

I am thinking about building a street car that will become a track only car. I am looking at this Miata:

Rouge - I think this is in your area. Any info?

If I do buy it the light would be available for trades.

It looks like a pretty good start for a track toy if you can get under 5 large one plus $700 for the hard top! I don't know why he put the "cold air intake" right next to the super hot shield-less header! If you get it and like to ditch the header for cheap, I will be very interested!

Yeah - a silver NB would be a great track toy. Especially if it had one o' them supercharger thingies on it.

In fact, there was one like that for sale on this forum just recently. Sorry you missed it.

If the car is as described and only needs an airbag plug reconnected under the steering column and a little top repair, the price seems more than reasonable.
This particular NB has been posted repeatedly in Houston over the past couple of months...and the price keeps dropping a little at a time. Makes me wonder why it's still available.

    Wow... the uber-rare 3 Cylinder.

On a side note, it might make a good STS2 car if it really has ABS.

It seems to stay on the block. I don't think he can get his reserve.

Be aware of a scam that goes on where the seller will tell you the car is not really here and he will have to ship it down so you can see it. If this is the case run as fast as you can. There is a guy who advertised a bunch in Houston, I asked to go see it and he said it was in Chicago, then why advertise in Houston? He said he would ship it to me at no charge with a small down payment to hold the car. I request to have a friend in Chicago go see it and he stop communicating. So, be aware if this is the case.
