Thread: I guess this should have been my first post

Default I guess this should have been my first post

    Allow myself to introduce myself...

I've finally finished 4.5 years of engineering and 3 years of law school and I'm back in Dallas and ready for some auto-x and track days!

I'm currently driving an 07 Mustang GT 5 speed, but I'm hoping to get something a little lighter and more nimble for some auto-x and track days (enter the mx5 or rx8 ).

Anyways, I've enjoyed reading through threads on the board and look forward to picking your brains in the future.

I've got to work my way up first :) but it's an interesting career. I've worked at a law firm the past three summers, and I've worked on some interesting designs. Nothing in the automotive field yet... but who knows.

Modding the mustang suspension is the economical way to go about for sure. But I'd like to get something that is better suited to turning. I may do some auto x in the mustang to get my feet wet, but I hope I can swap it out for an mx5 or rx8.

With all that schoolin, I'm sure you can spell. Too bad the forum software won't let you edit a thread's title, only a moderator can do that.

+1 Even within the stock class ruleset, F-stock Mustangs are keeping up with B-stock RX-8s. I've driven one at a very transition/turn heavy event at Grayson county airport and it was a blast!

I love Miatas but don't underestimate the new stangs.

Bitch all you want - it keeps out a lot of the riffraff. If you can't spell or type properly, you won't last long around here.

Um, actually with all the studying I've been doing for the last two months I cannot spell. I have what is known as "bar brain." That means I have no personality and can only think about the law (which is very depressing).

On that note, today was day 1 of the bar with 2 days to go....

Good luck and there are plenty of older (cheap) Miatas that would make a good toy for auto-x and track work, if you want to keep your stang stock.

It's not so much that I want to keep the Mustang stock as it is that I don't want to spend any money on it when I could put that cash towards its replacement. So I'm fighting temptation.
