Thread: how much does OEM ground effects lower?

Default how much does OEM ground effects lower?

I am about to add the OEM ground effects to my 07 GT wondering if any of the NC guys might know how much it lowers the ground clearance.

I am probably going to have to make my ride height a little higher already as I am dragging on too much stuff lately.
i sure like it being low though....maybe if I raise it a half inch it might fix it.

you guys can blame me for the rain coming, i washed and waxed my car for the first time in weeks yesterday...lol

hhhmmm should I tear up some stuff attempting to put these on or have the dealer do it?
    Lots of plastic bolts.
I have to remove the front and rear bumpers to install the ground effects and the side skirts have these pesky clips that slide to the rear to clip half and slide to the front to clip the other half, and pesky plastic bolts. these plastic clips cost 90.00 at the stealership.

    Congrats on the front Billy.

The regular mazda front dam and side skirts are 10mm lower than stock.

The MazdaSpeed front bumper is 13mm lower and the side skirts are 31mm lower than stock. The MS rear bumper is 38mm lower.

WoW Nails, that's a pretty big difference in the Mazdaspeed parts.
The front came out pretty good so I cant wait til i get the rest on, I about had a heart attack drilling over 1/2in holes in my bumper though.

To me it looked like the skirts were gonna be the easy part.

I thought so too Rogue, looks like thats gonna be the hardest part though.
I cant believe how many clips and plastic bolts are on the NC.
Oh, and the NC kept in tradition with using Styrophome in the bumper...lol

Wow! Now it just needs a set of Black R-pack stripes and a Red Gas door.

    Looking good!

Sweet. So what is the final plan? Paint them, add black stripes? Looks good so far!

I think he needs to add stripes and flames.

(and maybe some orange wheels to top it all off!)
    ...and across the line.

    The final plan....hhmm
Well i am planning on adding Falken Explicit rims in Black with polished lip...not sure if I will keep the polished lip or not.
Been thinking about a couple stripes
I am going to add the Goodwin Rollbar, the one with the single diag.
Not sure If I will put duals on it, cause i really really love the Roadster Sport Race that I have now.
I will put a hood lift kit on
Contemplating HID kit cause of limited night vision.
I will probably go with the Red dash insert, as well as the door insert panels in Red and maybe the seat inside panels in red, and shift boot E brake boot.
I have some ideas for the instrument pannel but will probably leave it stock.
I will likely replace the existing STB with a meatier one, and at the same time gain better access to my coilovers.
Also the Carpet is akin to rat hair so will probably do something about that eventually.

Anyhow thats some ideas I have so far.
    Note no performance changes
