Thread: WTB - NB Black Center Console for power window car.

  1. #1

Default WTB - NB Black Center Console for power window car.

Converting from black/tan to all black and I need a center console. Not really picky on whether or not it's an '01+ or the older style.

PM me or email [email protected] if you've got one for me.

    Thanks!

Thanks, Wag. Got my eye on that one. Assuming it doesn't matter that it's from a A/T car.

I looked on thepartsgroup and didn't see one in black. Contact them before that ebay auction ends. I didn't realize that the ebay auction was for a auto transmission car.

I don't think it matters that it's coming from an auto trans car. Take a look at the black auto trans console compared to a manual trans console. Looks like the shift boot will work and the rest of the trim attachment points are the same.

Well...I'll find out soon enough if it works. I won the auction :)

    It fits.

Only problem is that the power window switch with "AUTO" driver's side window doesn't work in the '99. Passenger side switch works the driver's side window and the "AUTO" driver's side switch forces the passenger side window down no matter what you do.

Anyone know if it's possible to rewire my switch harness to work with this switch or do I need to dig up a black '99 switch and hope it fits in the '03 console?

Did some searching over on the pointy board. Supposedly if you reverse the wires in the harness for the window switch, the '01+ switch will work in the '99-'00 cars. Gonna give it a shot later on and see if it's true.

It worked. Just reversed the wires to the harness (flipped like a mirror image) and the switches work fine. Bonus AUTO-DOWN on the driver's side that I wasn't expecting.

Looks really nice now. I'll add pics to my interior swap writeup sometime soon.
