Just got home since I have to be at work tomorrow. Congrats to Thomas, Jeremy and Jon for the good showing in B-stock, with 3/10 trophies coming home to the TX region. I screwed up my last fast run on day 1 and came back on day 2. Got into 13th out of 35 ending up around 3 tenths from a trophy spot.

13th out of 35 on a National level is a very nice number.

Thanks, it's a very eye opening experience when half a second covers 7 spots. You would have a blast, definitely make sure you go sometime in the near future.

Wow, what a trip. My first nationals was a whirlwind but a great time!

I drove great on day 1 (on the west course) and left myself in a great spot for day 2 but watched a bunch of really fast A-stock guys cone away all 3 runs on the East course that afternoon. It freaked me out a bit and I was just trying to be clean on day 2.

I came in with a reasonably fast day 2 time on my first run but just caught a cone on the first section of offsets (really shouldn't have happened, easy section of the course). That raw time would have put me in 6th, but my following 2 runs suffered from me trying to stay clean (slower). Sucks, but I can't complain about a trophy as a rookie.

Thanks to all of the local DFWMiata guys that were there giving me tips through out both days!

Look how much faster the NC MSR package in CS is compared to the NA R-package. Wow.

Let's not forget Kurt Janish, currently third in C Prepared, Keith Starr holding onto the last trophy spot in B Mod, and my alma mater (UTA) covering four of the six trophy spots in FSAE!

Congrats to all of the trophy winners!!!!

Lee and I are planning on attending nationals next year......
I learned this the hard way.....

Take all of your valuables out of your car at night. This includes taking the mounting hardware off of your windshield or dash and hiding the power supplies. I lost over $ 1,000 to a thief with no hope of recovering my items and to top if off they smashed my window in the rain and my truck got soaked. Let my loss be your learning experience.

Videos! I will have Miatamoto's up soon. If it weren't for my big slide on both runs at the sweeper towards the end of the west course I might have been in the trophies. Oh well, I'll take better than midpack.

    just got home

really happy with a 7th this year since a new car to me and lots of distractions (selling, building, moving, yelling at everyone involved, a lot and often)

co-driver blew his last run or would have been higher

like Thomas, I coned away my best East run that would/could have been eventually 2nd or 3rd, but oh well

    coulda, woulda, shoulda

good competition and I saw lots of great sportsmanship

big congrats to all the Texas region guys/gals who went

a great showing and I enjoyed getting to know some folks better than I did

time to take off and cool it and wait for next year

and scheme and dream of course
