Default Galaxy Drive-In Nov. 8th POLL!!!!!!

Ok we've voted for the date (Sat. Nov. 8th) now we pick the double feature.

Here's a link to the coming attractions check it out for more info on the films and vote here.

I have an email into the owners asking the locations of the screens. I believe screen 1 backs up against I-45 and is a bit noisier from traffic. Also screen one gets alot of headlight wash from other screens emptying. I think screen 4 was the opposite and farthest away from highway and entrance.

Just got an email on screen locations from Galaxy.

"the screens are numbered counter clockwise
as you enter the drive way, with screen 1 just
to your right, screen 2 farthest north, screen 3 is farthest
from the interstate, and screen 4 just to the
    left of the box offices."

Hmmm... the only one I'd go for is the Screen 4 pairing of "Role Model" and "Pride & Glory" (a very, very odd pair for sure).

My dog votes for the chihuahua movie.

Seriously, what are Role Model and Pride and Glory about?

Role Model looks like fun doo-doo humor with foul-mouthed kids.

Pride & Glory looks it could be a good cop thriller.

Think of it as a Wed. GTG on Saturday. TCB style.

would anyone be opposed to one or two of us seeing something on a different screen?

I'm waiting for Madagascar 2, but not so much for BHC.

Role Model and Pride & Glory look like a reasonable pair.

    I'm torn.

You can watch whatever screen you want but you can't/shouldn't switch screens at intermission. They all start (first films) at same time roughly.

So we meet up and drive there as a group ride and split to different screens if desired. Would be nice to maybe get a group shot before we split up though; for immortal posterity on Galaxy's website.

I want to see Eagle Eye as well but not if I have to watch H.S. Musical 3.

Anything but HS Musical - it's all about the ambiance anyway. Like the wed night gtg - you gotta choose over cheap beer & a burger, fancy boobs and domestic beer, or fancy beer and so/so boobs

Lawn chairs ARE allowed - dogs ARE allowed - BOYB (beer, bones, boobs) but NO GLASS. Their website says NO COOLERS and NO GLASS - I'll leave that up to you to decide.

It would be good to support the establishment by spending a little money on their concessions - that's what keeps them in business. However, I don't recommend the burger...

I recommend arriving early for pick of the parking and shortest concession line.

Looks like screen 4 has the most votes.

Anyone wanting to make a scenic drive there meet up at the Dairy Queen on I-45 in Ferris. We'll roll out about 6pm Sat. and should have about 30-40 min drive thru the country side to Galaxy in time for any photos before sunset.

Remember to bring blankets as the forecast lows are in the 50's that night.
