Normally I wouldn't pay much attention, but I noticed that the New Orleans Hornets were wearing some really strange jerseys that clearly read Bucs across the front.

They were retro jerseys from the original New Orleans Buccaneers of the ABA. The franchise stayed only three years from 1967-1970.

When the trick or treaters came around on Halloween, one little guy was wearing a sword and a patch over his eye. So I said, "you must be a pirate". He nodded. Then I asked him "so where are your buccaneers?"

And he said, "under my buckin hat"

New Orleans Bucs, eh? Cool... I never knew - always thought the Jazz was the only previous NO basketball team.
