Thread: air cleaner box question

    Default air cleaner box question

Will a 96 Airbox work on a 92? I need to replace the cone filter so I can run in E-stock at autocross, and I found a used 96 for a good price.

Work and be legal are two different issues here... If they are different part #s, it won't make you any more ES legal than the cone filter.
Maybe 4 wheels aren't so bad after all... wickett.org

I do believe the 1.6 liter cars ('90-'93) used a different air box than the 1.8 liter cars ('94-'97).

1.6 cars have the flapper air flow meter attached, totally different.

I think I still have the airbox here from my Spec project.
