    Question dash lights

I have a dash light out so only half of my oil gauge and half of the speedometer is lighting up. Is this something I can possibly fix myself? So far I've only done basic maintenance (brake pads, spark plugs).

    Not too difficult.

Pull the gauge hood, pull the gauge cluster and the bulbs screw into sockets in the back. It's about a 20 minute job.

Don't forget the run to the dealer to buy a new gauge hood when the old brittle one breaks in the removal process...

Yeah, definately gotta be careful with the hood.... definately..

It sucks having the guage hood break into a dozen pieces in your hands as you try to pull it off.

If it was me, I'd go ahead and replace all the bulbs at the same time.

I only meant since accessing the bulbs is a PITA, go ahead and spend a few more bucks and replace them all.

Sorry dude but it just looks like your gauges are radio-active. That would (did) give me a headache.

Aircraft instrument lights are red because the red light does not interfere with your night vision. However, you can not see red print on a map or anywhere else for that matter which is why aviation maps are such weird colors. I have done the red light swap on cars and I never got used to it.
