Hands down, bar none... the best... ask mic_crispy on the s2k board

Give him a call and set up an appointment, tell him David Lambert referred you... he's in the tollway/arapaho area.

Cool thanks, I saw the ring mic-crispy bought. Looked pretty nice, did not look cheap.

Was thinking about finding someone out of state to avoid sales taxes. 8.25% could really hurt.

Give him a call... I bought a 1 carat ring and the pricing was VERY reasonable. If nothing else, ask him to give you the diamonds 101 course. He'll spend about half an hour and walk you through cut/color/clarity/etc. Just let him know price is a concern and he'll do you right...

about 5 years ago, I bought a 3 diamond ring, 3 carats total in a custom setting from a company in Maryland called dirt cheap diamonds

was far from dirt cheap, but significantly less than several places I looked locally

they have morphed into another outfit, but supposedly same guy

    http://www.ivouch.com/dirt-cheap-dia...rederick-md-us

I was really nervous about the transaction, but it worked out as the guy said

we have had the ring to three different stores for cleaning/checking, and they have all told us it is very high quality stones (I picked the stones based on internet homework for clarity etc) and the setting itself

they all asked what I paid, and when I told them, they all three offered me that on the spot

    very happy, no sales tax

I know you aren't close, but for anyone in the FT Worth area looking. I really like Kubes http://kubesjewelers.com/index2.htm Good people. They did the same thing we me that Dave mentioned. Sat me down for a while and went over all the aspects of looking for a diamond.

I bought my wife a new ring in 2004. I got the stone off of Ebay. It was GIA certified and was at local pawn shop. I drove to his store lopped it and verified the numbers. Marquee 1.81 carat, VVS1, k color, very good cut, for 3200. We got the setting at Jared by the Hulen mall. We looked for the setting at about 5 different places. Mostly indepemdent shop, but finally went with Jared. Good luck, I had the most fund trying to find the best deal.

Hmm what is decent? Are we talking about your decent or my decent? I'm just curious because I don't want to offend anyone else's decent...
