Thread: Wolo Horn?

  1. #1

    Default Wolo Horn?

Anyone have this horn? Is it decent?

I'd like a bit more noise to come out of the front of the POSIV so I can interupt phone calls and such.

Nope. I have the Hella Supertones in blingy red. 118dB of annoying goodness.

I have one of the Wolos and it is quite decent. They used to be advertised as 140 dB but now they are 118 dB. Certainly louder than stock.

I've used two of the nautilus horns that blackzx3_13 linked. Very nice, quite loud, and most excellent at getting the attention of other drivers. It at least looks extremely similar to the Wolo item right down to the mounting position.

I had the great pleasure of using my Thompson horn on the jackass in the Accord that was backing up on the Tollway on-ramp last night. It sure woke his ass up...

I bought this one for my 91 and it looks just like the wolo. http://www.3rdstrategy.com/3rdMillen...Horn%20Kit.htm

I took it off the 91 when I sold it so right now it's just sitting in the garage. I've got to make some kind of adapter to get it to work on the 99. you're welcome to hook it up and try it out if you like.

I also have one of these Nautilus compact electric air horns. I wired it up with a relay, tapped into the factory disc horn, so they both fire when I hit the steering wheel. Yeah, plenty loud. Wakes up people when they aren't paying attention, that's for sure! Highly recommended. Easy to install.

I'll be at Mineral Wells on Saturday co-driving for JJ (jrj512) if you want to hear it. :)
