I'm familiar with the wider line. It's the one that I took all day Saturday and I never enjoyed it. I know exactly where the white square is (basically point your car into the "Y" between two paths in the grass, then heave it over).

I was talking with the other AWD drivers and we were discussing the best line when the main AWD instructor came over and mentioned the non standard line through 4. For my car, it seems to work best because I am making the braking zone shorter and harder and most importantly straighter.

I haven't seen anyone else doing that line (on video, etc), but it *was* working for me, regardless of what the ivory tower says should work. I guess we just need to head back up there and try it again (hopefully when it's not 106* out at 4pm).
