Jeff, based on what you're looking for (good body and drivetrain, bad interior) you might want to haunt the SpecMiata classifieds. Occasionally good donor NBs show up, but they seem to be in high demand as the NB is becoming more popular than the NAs as a SpecMiata.
i have been looking at some specs but everything i see cost 10k+

How much cheaper are you looking for? $4k for a 1999 Miata that is even running seems pretty cheap to me, and I wouldn't classify either of these as turds (they look like they are worth every penny). If $4k is too much, how much are you looking to spend? My guess is there aren't any '99s out there that are actually running for $2.50 if that's what you are waiting for...

Seems to be the cheapest one I've seen so far.
I'm searching for a reasonably priced 90-93 Mariner Blue and people want more for those than what this '99 is going for.
I'll keep my eyes open for you if I see any '99s come up.

Kestrel, 4k is to much for a base model and i have seen those 2 postings and talked to both owners,.

there are a bunch of 99-00 on clist but most people think they are worth 10k and they have been posted for months now for that reason.
