Thread: Best of luck, Team Miagra

Great pics. I hope there is some video available soon.
I was very happy with the race in general. In hindsight I think we only made two mistakes:
The first was shooting all of our photos in Garys shop. We knew this was potentially problematic at the time, but if we had known the judges would just assume that we where a spec miata shop, we would have taken the time to shoot photos somewhere else.
Our other mistake was choosing the "easy way" when Jay gave us choice of how to go through BS Tech. We picked the easy way because we didn't want to piss off the judges but as it turned out, the easy way was them just assuming we had a built motor and spec miata suspension.
I think we would have been fine without those two mistakes.

Remember, there is another car the judges hate as much or more than a Miata... The BMW E30, and one of those got thru tech without penalty, and went on to win the race. So it is possable to do well with a hated car.

I just checked out the "LeLons" forum and the thread about the Texas People's Curse.
Most people said that it was the best race yet and that no one was driving like an ass so they didn't vote. There where several cars mentioned as possable victomes of the curse, mostly the 2nd gen RX-7 with the stacks and train air horns. No one we didn't come up at all. At least not yet.

Neat but I believe the thought is it needs to look much worse in February. We are thinking a rusted Miata might be more accepted.
