Default New top and paint work completed tonight

Just got my 92 "the Red Baron" back from Steven at Miata Solutions: http://www.miatasolutions.com/

Top rate work on both. A vast improvement by Stevan's talented work.

Just an FYI that if you want someone to install that new top or need some paint and body work give the master a call.

Thanks Steven. A very happy customer.

I've been there a few times so we made it just fine.
I also sent pics to the first two who asked as I cannot post pics and told them they could post if wanted.
What is the deal about posting pics anyway?

Did you get just a stage 1 paint on it to freshen it up? or are you going to get a clear coat too?

Early Miatas just had single stage paint.

BTW when did they switch to clearcoat??

All mica paints are 2-stage. I think 2-stage solid colors didn't start till 99 and then it was spotty. I've seen two classic red 99s with two different paint codes.

If your color code on your door jam is three characters you have clearcoat. Two characters has single stage paint from the factory.

That being said, most body shops only paint 2-stage so if the car has any re-paint, those areas are probably clearcoated.
