Thread: Dennis Rothermitch's condition...

    Default Dennis Rothermitch's condition...

So I know a few of you guys have noticed that Dennis hasn't been at local events in a while. He's been having some health problems lately and had his gall bladder removed on Tuesday. During the surgery they noticed something out of the ordinary in his liver which turned out to be cancer... Dennis also does not have health insurance so he could use some help with his expenses. I'm pretty sure ER is going to have a charity event for him later this year.

Dennis has also started a blog updating his progress:

Wow, that's sad news. I'd be down for an event.

Sorry to hear that. Dennis is a good guy, let's all support him as much as possible!

Horrible news. Dennis has my support in any way that I can help.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

I missed seeing Dennis at the last couple of events and wondered about him.

As everyone else has said, he is in my prayers.

I've been playing for years with a number of Texas singer-songwriters, and I'd be happy to help set-up a benefit show with a few of them for Dennis.

Sad news. I would participate in any and all benefifts for Dennis. These are wake up calls for all of us to remember the really important things in life. Family and friends always come first. Dennis is good people and is deserving of whatever we can do to help him in this dark time.

Hang in there Dennis. You got co-drivers.

Dennis I'm not looking for any special attention here. But wanted to inform you that we all decided today to donate our pax winnings towards your cause.

I realize this is a very small drop in a very large bucket. We all wish you the best. I pray for your speedy and healthy recovery. Hang in there bud and keep your chin up!

I know some of you have been very concerned about how Dennis is doing.

In case some of you don't know, his condition has taken a turn for the worse.

He's been keeping a Blog about his illness:

Man, that's a tough thing to read...... but a testament to the bravery of the man who wrote it. I hope I'm able to exhibit such composure when I'm faced with my own mortality. Good luck to you Dennis. We've never met, but you've certainly made an impression on this stranger.
