    Except about the part where they aren't made. I drove a last year Mexi-Beetle, it was an odd experience, because my brain told me that it should rattle and feel like an old car in good condition... but it drove like a brand new car. Also had a buddy with a 2000ish Mexi "pan swap" that drove very nice. Yeah, they were pretty consistently great.

    Really? You're going to kill a "consistently awesome" car because it's got strut suspension? Porsche, BMW, and Lotus seem to have done just fine with well-sorted strut suspensions - on both road and track, you name the venue. Sure, my '89 Mustang was a POS in the corners, but I'm not sure we can attribute all of that evil to the front struts. I'm just sayin...

    Yes.

    In my view, if it has struts it is not awesome. It's not even a little bit cool. It's just a car, and one I wouldn't consider owning at that.
