the meter was by the slaloms, so it could be a lot of "oh crap too hot into the slalom" at work :)
The fast drivers were holding the foot to the floor at the end of the slalom. The readings seemed fairly consistent per driver. I guess it all comes down to how you drive and where the meter is located.
