Hello, Dallas/Fort Worth. My wife and I just moved here a couple of months ago when she found the new job and I retired from Memphis PD. Yep, I'm older than most of you guys, but been a car nut my whole life. SCCA (licensed Starter and Corner Worker) and NASA member, used to autocross a few years ago, instructor with RaceOn Driving Experience (drive or ride in NASCAR cars, like the Petty Experience), new to DFW but loving it. Want to get involved in autocross and track day activities here, but will have to find a car as the Trailblazer would be a little tough on the track. Want to find and older Miata soon that I can evenutally build into solely autocross/track car. Anyway, I'll be reading and learning all I can about here and about Miatas.

Welcome, from a retired school teacher.

Good luck with your Miata search.

Also, check http://www.dfwautocross.com/ for local events.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Welcome aboard and welcome to Texas! Plenty of cone dodgers and track guys hang out here.

Feel free to ask plenty of questions before you buy.

Thanks to all. Looking forward to getting involved in the near future. As far as class, will start will stock, but hope to eventually build into Prepared class.

Welcome, and good luck! Be sure to find your way to one of our Wednesday Night Get-togethers - with or without a Miata. I'm sure you'll find some good info, and I know you'll find tons of good BS and good times. :)
