    Default 1968 Cadillac Calais

Hey, American Iron guys. A friend of mine is trying to sell his 1968 Cadillac Calais. Haven't seen it in person, only in photos. Apparently it is in very good condition. Not a runner right now--I think it needs an alternator and perhaps a new battery. He claims it's all original.

He's asking $1500. If anyone is seriously interested, I can get more info...

If I had room to keep it, I'd consider it. I would be fun weekend cruiser...

For those that don't know what a '68 Calais looks like... (not actual land yacht)

Makes a sweet cruiser, a little to new for the pre-64 events though.
You too can be cool like Mick! :BigPimpin:

PS a Miata will nearly fit in the trunk!

Good lord looks like that thing would generate it's own gravity causing smaller objects like Miatas to orbit lol.

I'd buy it and drive it back and forth in front of ALGORE's house!! Did this car ever come in a convertible? I have this desire to have the largest car from 'back in the days' with a convertible....

I've sent him an email requesting more info. If nothing else, I'll bug him tomorrow at work. Not sure how many doors, but I think the color is in the white or creme family. Car is located in teh Lower Greenville area. Stay tuned...

I think I may have seen it for sale a few months ago in the Lake Highlands area by Alfonsos and the eco friendly gas station :). Anyway I am interested as well. Please let me know the specifics.

Just picked up a 50k mile 1970 Ford F100 that sat for the last 24 years. Doing a favor for the lady who owns it by cleaning it up and maybe getting it running (then selling). Probably the motor is frozen solid.

Send me a pm if interested. I can forward a couple of pics later today. Here's what else I know: Needs a battery. Brakes are weak, but that could just mean bad fluid. Tires are old. Needs a voltage regulator. Seats do have some tears, but otherwise interior is in good to very good shape. Body looks straight and solid. Color is white. 4-door. $1500 obo.
