I have one in a 1990 model that I am parting out. Drove the car before I decided to part it out. 138000 miles, new timing belt, new water pump, no issue with key way. $100.00 if you pull it out.

I have no idea. I haven't been to ECR yet. Gary said they don't have any spectator seating at all. So I'm guessing its standing room. But as far as I know they will let people in for $20 a day or $30 a weekend.

Well, that's a hell of a deal, is there any installation issues that you know of with installing the short nose crank motor into a car that wasn't originally? Gary has no good motors at the moment, so this might be an option.

Bump.. anyone know if a motor from an automatic will work with the manual trans?

Yes, it will work, but it has less power as the engines for the automatics had lower compression. That is a good thing if you ever want to add boost, but stock it will leave you a little slower than before.

Bump for anyone else? I thought these motors were supposed to be cheap, all the junkyards want $600-800. I was thinking closer to the $400 range. :P I might just bite the bullet, I want to get this done over the long weekend.
