FWIW - Michael's keys in Colleyville was able to make keys for our '02 (Chipped Key) with no issues for lots cheaper than the dealer.
My son lost one of the keys for his 2010 Mazda 3. At first we thought both keys but found one.
With both keys gone it would have involved a tow to the dealer for new keys and programming, $400 + tow.
I am looking to buy an extra key. From what I read it looks like I will need the dealer or a locksmith to program and cut the key. Any one have any experience with this?
M3 is always the answer.

Can the keys be recut and reprogramed? We still have one ignition key and a door only key for the wife's late Mazda3. You are welcome to them if they will help.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.
