Ha, never seen that show. The guy who operates ibanezrules.com does the same thing when he's selling guitars, and that's where I got it from.

Nope, they're not. The original owner put them on. I do, however, have the original rims that the previous owner gave to me.

Every stock Miata I see looks like it has a lift kit. Weird.

    Threadjacking this back on-topic...

-Got info on the timing belt/water pump?
    -Any leaks/drips?
-How'd it handle the summer temps (any overheating)?
    -A/C?

Thanks. I've got a friend in the market for an NA. Forwarding your listing.

No info on the timing belt/water pump (are you asking about reliability?...they've never broken down for me)
There is an oil leak, but it's nothing serious. I'll take pictures tomorrow when the sun is out.
Car works fine in the summer. I used to commute back and forth between NRH and Richardson daily, without any problems in heavy traffic.
    A/C works

I've had it since September 2008. In that time, the ignition coil was replaced after #4 cylinder went bad, and the car got a new radio and glass softtop after it was broken into.

I'm currently having a problem with the engine codes passing during inspection. I think it has something to do with the car being broken into, and/or the radio being replaced. I'm not sure though, but it shouldn't be an expensive fix for me.

Well, at that mileage, the timing belt/water pump are way overdue, so I'm wondering if you or the PO know approx when it was done. Roughly where is it leaking oil? What codes are being thrown?
    Thanks!

Never heard of a radio throwing a CEL.

The CEL codes are mainly thrown from engine sensors so should also be unrelated to a vehicle break-in unless they jacked with the engine wiring harness.

I agree, CEL codes would be helpful. Codes can either be an easy fix or a PITA to track down and fix.

I'm taking it to a mechanic tomorrow to get the code problem fixed, and I'll have him check out the timing belt and water pump while it's there.

The oil is leaking onto the heat shield that covers the exhaust manifold.

I have all the paper work that the shop gave me when the car didn't pass inspection. It passed emissions and safety, but I'm getting "Not Ready" statuses for the Catalyst, O2 sensor, and EGR sensor.

Don't know, that's what the shop said. I'm confused.

A '96 is an OBD2 car. So, any Autozone should be able to hook a code reader up to the car and read you the codes. If you post the codes here, we can decipher them for you, or you can look them up on teh interwebz.

If the ECU is displaying a "Not Ready" OBD2 status, there is no way the car will pass emissions in an emissions controlled county.

How soon before the test was the radio replaced? If you had the battery disconnected while replacing the radio, the Catalyst, O2 sensor, and EGR sensor values in the ECU would get wiped out and it would read "Not Ready" for a while. It would take some driving to get values back in there.

Hmm...you know I did have a crankshaft sensor problem several months ago. I even posted a thread on it. Maybe that's it?

After getting the inspection, the shop immediately asked me if I had done anything to the battery. I did not, and that leads me to believe that it was the shop that worked on the car when getting the radio installed.

It's been a couple of weeks. This has already been discussed. I've easily driven the car over 200 miles since then. I'm currently at my dad's in Weatherford watching his house while he's on vacation, and I commute back and forth between here and NRH for school twice a week. Not to mention outings with friends and such.
