    Default Car died

On a lark, any known oddities or bugs like fuel pump realy, fuse etc going suddenly bad that might cause an NA just shut down going down the street? Yes, it has gas. Has not shown any signs of trouble at all. Sitting on a side street near coit and Arapaho in Richardson. Ugh

Hope not. Car has 58k on it. I bought it in august and the timing belt had just been changed. It's cranking but no start.

My NB died for what seemed to be no reason when the fuel pump died - twice. There is a way to jumper a couple of connections to test ti, but I don't have that handy at the moment.

, Logically, I tend to thinks it's the fuel pump. But logic isn't always on my side.

Timing belt is easy to check - take the oil cap off and have someone crank the engine while you (hopefully) watch the camshaft go round and round.

I've had exactly 2 cars just suddenly quit on me while driving, both timing belt related...

    Good luck!

Anyone in the North Dallas area do mechanic work on the side etc? I'm kind of alone in regards to working on it. Family lives in Fort Worth, I work in Richardson. I've got a ride home for tonight but would gladly pay for someone to check it out etc.

I would have it towed to Track Dog Racing.

    Do they tow themselves.

Gary (Track Dog Racing) has a trailer, and MIGHT be willing to pick the car up being that is shop is a stones throw from Richardson. I would think it is at least worth calling and talking to him about it.

The alternator would have kept the car running.

Has gas, all the usual suspects checked that I can easily check. Still sitting there this morning thank goodness. The old guy who's house it's parked in front of was nice and understanding. I told him I'd take care of it, get it towed away etc. I just dont want to leave it there any longer than I have to. Tried to call Gary at his contact numbers but no anwer last night. It was later when I had gotten home. So, will try again this morning. Of course, these things can never happen near your house etc.
