Thread: Carpet padding

    Default Carpet padding

Does anyone know where I can buy some carpet padding for my 96. I want to change some of it out but not sure where to find it. I know I can probably order some but I need it by Sat and I don't want to pay shipping if I don't have to.

    Thanks!

Locally I don't know where. But I bought 1/4" and 1/8" closed cell ensolite foam padding that's commonly used for sound damping for car audio instalations. The 1/8" came from RAAM mat (bought second hand on craigslist) and the 1/4" came from a specialty sound abatement company in Houston.

Ensolite is also used for yoga pads and backpacker's sleeping pads. The Miata cockpit is so small, you might just buy two 1/2" camping pads from a sporting goods store and cut and install.

Cool! I was thinking about using that but didn't know if it would be ok. Is it sold by the foot or did u have to buy a whole roll?

They sell it by the foot so you can get just what you need.
