Everyone is so damn sue-happy. I agree it's unfortunate, and I'd be pissed off, too. But allowing a class action suit?

Hey, NFL! Offer each one of the affected fans two tickets and a generous transportation and lodging allowance for one of the next three SuperBowl. They pick which one. Then call it a day...

Um didn't they already offer that as option2? Option 1 was $2400 cash plus a ticket to the next Super Bowl I think.

The problem with that is that the tickets they bought probably cost that much. Plus airfare and hotels that you had to get for a 4 day minimum. As a consilation you get a ticket to next years game? What fun will that be as a packer fan, to watch the Jets and the 49ers play in the superbowl?

I believe with option 1 the NFL said they could take the cash and sell the tickets, but not opton 2. I'm not a football fan anyway so I'd just take the money and run. I think the last Super Bowl I watched was when I was in high school.

Good Lord!!! Could we have screwd this up any worse?
No plan for bad weather (ice or snow), ice falling from the top of the roof and hurting people, not enough seats. Texas will not see another super Bowl for many years if ever. It only gos to prove that Jerry has his head so far up his a**, that he can only see dollar signs and dosent really care about the fans that support his team!

It pays to be a Giants fan!!!

That stadium is full every weekend, Jerry scored tax breaks, and most notably he even had an army of volunteer staff working that he didn't have to pay. I say the man is brilliant and as long as people are dumb enough to show up, more power to him.

But I hope I never have to deal with that many Socialist Northerners ever again.

There were plans for bad weather made in advance. In arlington the equipment, sand, and trucks were all paid for. Plus, Texas roads aren't plow friendly, look at all the city titties we have down on the road.... you don't see those up north. What wasn't planned for was 4 solid days of sub freezing temps, starting with 2" of ice, and ending with a snowfall of 6". It is impossible to plan for that. Secondly, North Texas as a whole doesn't have equipment anyways. The ice on the roof issue is kind of a freak issue-- would you have planned a contingency for ice accumulation after 2" of ice and 6" of snowfall in 4 days on a dome in Texas? I know a rep that was out there that week, and work on the seating was slowed down by materials not arriving, manpower not arriving, and again sub freezing temps no one could do anything about.

    Was it handled perfectly? No.
Does god hate Jerry Jones? Possibly
Will we see another Super Bowl? Most Likely.

The extra seating was put in by the NFL. The owners all get a percentage of the take, not just Jerry. Bigger stadium= Bigger take. Also look at the percentages. In the last 20 years, you've had a total of probably less than 10 days where the roads were as bad as they were last week. 4 of those 10 days were from last week. Even the Snowalls last Valentines Day and Christmas 2009 didn't muck the roads up much. All this amounts to the NFL looking at making more money in North Texas and gambling the weather doesn't cock everything up again.

In the end i feel sorry for the small retailers who were hurt by the poor weather because fans stayed home and avoided traveling about. They were the biggest loosers in this equation. A chance to really help their bottom line turned into a lot of red instead.

We had equal product for both teams, and a good measure or XLV merchandise.

The Pittsburgh fans we had in the store were great. Were thrilled to see team product in Dallas, and were overall friendly. We had quite a few customers, both new and regular ones, picking up stuff to great friends and family coming to town for the game.

The packers Fans on the other hand were a bunch of whiny brats. "Thats all you have for Green Bay? " and etc. In the last 11 years I have never ONCE had a request for Green Bay decor. Secondly, we are a paper goods house.... Why would I have team Jerseys and the likes.... (maybe this means Green Bay fans aren't so much whiny as they are mentally deficient?)
