    Default Where could I get a 1.8 97 engine

I'm looking to swap my 1.8 for another. I've talked to Mazda Nissan heavan and they seem to know what's going on but I have not done this before and wandering if their parts are reliable?

If your car is a 92 then it has a 1.6 not a 1.8 unless someone already swapped it. This is a popular swap and if you are going to do it you might as well opt for the 99-00 1.8. Call Track Dog Racing as I know Gary has a selection of motors.

Yes mines been swapped before and isn't the 99-00 a 6 speed or can I still use my old transmission and how much does is engines cost?

No they came in both flavors so yes you can use your existing trans. Price will depend on condition, mileage and seller.

    Would a 1.6 transmission hold a 1.8 99-00 engine

OK you should really do some research and plan out what you are going to do and then start asking questions. Most people are happy to help if it appears you have laid the groundwork. Search this site as well as http://www.miata.net and you should find the answer to most of your questions THEN ask the questions you didn't find answers for.

Does Gary also usually have 1999-2000 head/intake manifolds? I'm curious about doing a head swap sometime in the future on my 1.8 NA.
