Default Equipe Rapide Event #2, 4/3/11, Mineral Wells

It's a busy spring. March has an event every weekend including BMW, PCA, NTAXS, Texas Time Trials, a national tour and a pro-solo. Equipe Rapide will be having our next event on April 3rd in Mineral Wells. I hope to see all of you out there. Paul Kurtz has volunteered to be the event master. I would love for some of you to step up and volunteer to be event master for a future event. You can see our schdule on our website and see the entire calendar on dfwautocross.

    Thanks,
    Andy Cost

So, what's the Mineral Wells equivalent to Pennington's Einstein's?

The McDonald's off exit 418 on I-20, west of Fort Worth and the I-20/I-30 merge.

I plan to attend this event.

Online registration is open. It will close at midnight Friday night. I have it on good authority that the weather will be perfect on Sunday. If you missed the Pro or want to validate your recent performances then come on out. This is an excellent event for you to get good practice for the upcoming events including the Natinal street tire challenge and the divisional. I hope to see you all out there and thanks for supporting Equipe Rapide.

Looks like I'm out... sprained my ankle pretty badly on Wednesday, today I've got crutches and an air cast. Changing tires and standing around a parking lot don't sound great, and driving a stick shift isn't so easy either. Hope everyone has fun!!!

JRJ... you can hold onto my t-shirt from last time for a bit longer, or I can meet up with you sometime. Thanks!

    Meh - that's a lifetime.

Check out the STR results from the San Diego Tour last weekend - 2nd through 4th were all covered by less than a hundredth of a second!

Yea but I was actually a participant in this battle, I wasn't just reading about it on the interweb.

I enjoyed the event. It was great weather, a short day, and a fun course.

Without trying to sound harsh or ungrateful. The course had some interesting elements to it. And while it was certainly challenging. I didn't find it particularly rewarding. Nor did it seem to flow well. Also, can we please not have any slow heavy sweepers across the "cheese grater" sections of the site?

    The good points?
    Nice choice of line selection
    High speed sections

I'm not about everyone else. But I think the course in reverse would have been much more enjoyable. No one wants the last 5 corners to be castration events, especially when they lead into a similar finish.
