Default License Light - 97 Caddy

Pretty much standard GM assembly back in the day

But I can't figure how to get to the bulb to replace it. I thought I'd ask here before I break a prybar like conecerned

I removed the 4 self tapping screws, but nothing would move easily. I loosened the 2 phillips screws but didn't see how the whole fixture would come out.

There is no way to even see the fixture from inside the trunk after removing the liner.

    All serious suggestions are appreciated.

Never mind . . . Ixquick is my friend.

Those 4 black screws plus two more on the inside that I RnR'ed at a different time.

Yeah, but he's all into Miatas now. His 'Lac wouldn't even crank today.

You would really think a 44 year old Cadillac with an 11 year old battery would be more reliable.....

Well they are reliably hard to parallel park.

Whole assy popped right out, the socket took 1/4 turn to remove and the top half of the bulb fell off in my hand.

Trusty needlenose pliers fixed that. All done in less time than it took to haul the tools to the car and
    is happy.
