    Default Miata shocks and springs

I have a '92 Miata with 15'' Panasports with 70K miles on it . I want to replace the shocks and springs . A friend who has experience and a spring compressor his will help me install.
I have ordered the Koni str.t "street" shocks and Eibach prokit springs from tire rack . The springs will lower the car about 1.2" . My friend is questioning whether this will lower the car too much and whether the Eibachs are a good match for the Koni's . I want to improve the handling , but while I do some rally's , I don't want to compromise the every day ride quality.
    Thanks for any advice !

You might want to get new bumpstops while you're at it. If those are originals, they will be extra crunchy. Lots of good info here -
