Looking to hack on the exhaust to lighten the car and this would work for the project. Would need to fit a 2000 NB.

    Thanks.

even hacked up the stock exhaust is very heavy. your best beat is to remove the exuhst from the axle back and have a down tub made that you can bolt to the mid pipe. do not run with the stock mid pipe only. you need a down tub to move the hot air as far under the car into the air stream as you can or it will pool under the bumper as the mid pipe is up turned where it joins the exhaust at the rear axel. ask me how i know.

Wow, good to know. Plastic melts.

Per my other post and your response I think this would still be too loud. I have access to a supertrap that would make this work but its a loaner so I don't want to hack up my own stuff right now.

adding a down turn tip will make anything quieter, the sound waves hitting the group then going out tricks the db reading. it might be louder to the ear but because the rules say you have to be xdb from xft you can have a very loud car that read lower db then limited.

We are trying to not lose a site and this would not help. Even if it does meet the letter of the rules
