Thread: Considering selling my NB

    Default Considering selling my NB

I haven't had the chance to drive it nearly as much as I'd like, and don't know if/when I'm going to have the funds to do any upgrades in the near future, so I'm considering selling. I'm wondering what it might be worth.

1999 Blue with Tan Interior. Upgraded sway bar and tower bar.
Upgraded shocks (don't know which kind, prior owner did it, but they are adjustable)
Replaced the radiator 2 years ago.
60,900 miles. (you read that right, only 60,000)

Its has the 99 luxury package with various parts replaced to, more or less, give it the sport package from that year.

Other than those items mentioned everything is original and in good to great condition. Seats show wear in the normal places but no major rips or tears.

I also have the boot to cover the top when its down (though I've never really used it) and it has a hidden hitch.

I'm only the second owner. Some of you know the original owner Titus and tailchaser probably know more about this car than I do.

    Thoughts?

    Ah....of course.

I'll take some later this evening then. Unfortunately, its dark outside, so they will be within the confines of my garage.

    Is it free?

Take it to Carmax and see what they will give you for it. That way you'll have a baseline price.

Keep in mind Winter isn't the best time to try and dump a convertible.

    No its not free.

    Sheesh...

Will have pics in a moment. I'm curious as to what you all think (I'll ignore the ridiculous jokes and whatnot that I'm sure will ensue )

And yes, I know selling in the winter may not be the best time. I may wait a couple of months, basically trying to get an idea at this point. I don't "need" to sell it, but also don't have a "need" to have it at this point either. (as much as I like it, there are other tings I can do with the funds)

That dusty engine bay is gonna take off at least $1000 from the asking price. :P

Just kidding, good luck with the sale.

Good looking NB, I would consider buying one once I pay off the NC.

They say that an NA is the better Miata, but the NB is a better car. The NC tops the NB as the better car. Since you already have one end (the NC), why not consider an NA in order to get the most pure Miata?

I think it is that is going to affect the price! Sucker still smells like Bratwurst & beer I'd bet!

Not to mention the radio only played top ten Oompah Bands..... That would get old!

Good point. I'd probably look at picking up an NA, but it'll be awhile...

Too bad you weren't selling it a few days earlier! I just drove to Houston and picked up a white 2000 LS. Good luck with the sale.

    Thanks.

I'm sure someone will come along sooner or later....like I said, no rush....and I've not advertised anywhere else to this point.
