    Default Ansa muffler

I think I want my Miata to have a little more throat. I've been reading about muffler options, and I'm leaning towards an Ansa. Any experiences and/or opinions?

I dunno... Isn't that what POS has? A little ricey isn't it?

I like the Anza I have on the POS Racer, remind me next weekend Sammmm I'll let you drive it to see what you think!

Oh did I mention it is one of the more "cost effective" solutions for our cars.

My setup: JR cai, JR hi flow cat, JR stainless cat back. This was all installed at the same time and with the 14 degree timing bump.

When I first got it I hated the sound, but it felt much faster with more low end grunt. Within 2 days I decided I loved it. It sounds deeper and more aggressive under throttle. Everyone asked has given it a thumbs up... Mathews2kzero2orfour can comment.

I had never heard any others exhausts, but in Miata.net I read that the JR cat back exhaust was conservative and not ricey. To me it sounds exactly like what a sports car should. I'm not a fan of the bigger exhaust tip, but at least it's not the ricer coffee can size tip.

This would be a good test: If I blindfolded someone and took them for an aggressive ride, I'm willing to bet the last thing they thought was they were in was a Miata...

From experience, may I recommend you buy some new and shinny hack say blades, it greatly limits the profanity!

Sammm: what do you think of the Ansa???? Thumbs up or down? My JR exhaust sounds better after it "warms up". Is that also true of Ansa?

I have to give it a thumbs up in the few days I've had it. I haven't got a chance to hear it with the top down yet, but it's definately a much deeper tone than stock. At idle it is very quiet, but once you hit the throttle it comes to life. On a side note, POS told me that it will deepen and mellow more after I get some miles on it.
