My alternator belt looks a little shabby. How much work is the swap?

    Easy...

Pull intake plumbing for easier access.

    Loosen pivot bolts on alternator.

    Loosen adjuster.

    Swap belt.

    Reverse.
    ...and across the line.

    Well,

After doing it, I cannot believe that I even asked the question. EASY! I only needed to remove one intercooler pipe too!

My only hessitancy comes from my general rule before open track weekends - DO NO CHANGES in the week before an event. I've seen too many cars knocked out of the weekend from either screwing up an installation or forgetting something little and having a BIG problem on the track.

Goodyear makes a nice Water Cooler/Alternator belt called the gatorback for $12 at autozone.
