Default PCA Time Trial - Motorsport Ranch - Sun. Oct 23rd, 2011

I just registered. It will be my first time participating in a PCA event, my first time at MSR, and my first time driving in a Time Trial. Im excited!

$75 seems like pretty darn cheap track time. 12 hot laps and 4 warm up laps. Thats basicly under $5.00 per lap. Cheap fun!

Any one else planning on attending?

It's a bargan and a lot of fun to boot. Not only do you get to run the track, you also take your turn working a bunker flagging and seeing some cool cars on track. You did fine at Hallett, you'll be fine at MSR. Just take the first few sessions to learn the track and have fun.

I believe they are running the 1.3 config, which I've yet to sample. Sadly, I can't make it. Have fun and be safe.

    Cool thanks.

I'm glad you aren't coming, I still have nightmares after riding with you at Hallett! Haha

Wow, I would love to do this. I'm not sure I can find it in the budget this month, but if I can would it be frowned upon if my car has skinny, cheap all-season tires? Haven't gotten wheels for my R-S3's yet.. Maybe I'll just come and take some pictures and see how it's run instead - is that allowed?

I see this is the last on their website schedule - is it the end of the season or have they just not set a date for or announced the next yet?

Yes, it's allowed to spectate at MSR.

It might be risky to show up on all-seasons if they are old. Track time puts a lot of heat into tires, which can stress an old tire. If they are newish, then you'll just be slow, but so will lots of people. Best to check with MSR before you go.

I have no idea if there is a cap and if I made it, but I am signed up.

I believe if Club Reg says confirmed you are in. They cut off priority advantage to PCA members a week out.

Spectating is fine... just follow the MSR track rules of where you be...it is limited. The MSR staff will be theere and have full control of all safety aspects.
It is the last event of the year. I am always bummed when it is over just as the weather gets nice. See you there.

Not old, just crappy (Falken ZE-512 I think?). PO put them on the car just before selling it, so they're actually just a couple of months old. I can deal with being slow :)

Still not sure how this weekend will pan out so I haven't decided one way or the other yet.

EDIT: Question, will there be a chance for instruction?

I'm signed up too. I'm looking forward to it!

Can anyone confirm that it is the 1.3 that we'll be running? And if so, which direction - CW or CCW?

Ken O, or altiain - got any videos we can study?

Confirmed with Travis the TT chair that it will be the 1.3 I am ASSuming it will be CCW like normal since they make a big deal about running clockwise.

I just ordered new front sway bar mounts to replace the broken ones I found this morning. If they don't arrive in time for me to put on, I'll bring the Yellow Escort.

This is the 3.1. Just watch the 1.3 part.

I will look for 1.3 video.
    M3 is always the answer.
