Hmm what is decent? Are we talking about your decent or my decent? I'm just curious because I don't want to offend anyone else's decent...

In. It sure would be nice to have a Chump Car to toss around this event instead

Looks like paddock will be in the West lot and course in the South lot. We can still probably get a 30 second long course in the South lot. The South lot is much more user friendly than the West lot.

Good idea. AutoX's under 50 seconds leave alot to be desired.

Get used to them. With PMS and TMS both getting shrunk-down this off-season, 30-40 sec courses are probably going to be more common. The only way to get more time out of the small lots is to really complicate the course with tight, slow elements. I think drivers are more satisfied with 35 seconds of speed than 50 seconds of tire scrubbing.

Agreed, Mikey, but they still are way too short. We need to find some new venues or have more runs.

Creativity helps. I though the NTAXS event in Jan was an awesome use of a smaller lot. FTD was 70.492.

Does that mean we get to do jumps and 2 wheel sections?

I think loops just become a natural part of the course in small lots. However, we just did an event here in Phoenix that I thought was a particularly clever use of the small surface.

The site is a little larger then PMS, but not by a substantial amount.

Another +1 from me. I'd rather do a shorter course time-wise, where we can keep speeds up and use the car's momentum (more fun), than a tighter course just for the sake of adding time to the clock (less fun).

    No Jumps!
    No Capes!

2 Wheel sections simply teach good car control, so yes.

Jesus Greg. That video almost gave me a seizure.

Anyways, plus another 180 on short high speed courses VS low speed long courses. Either way, looking forward to trying a new surface!

AND! Thank you to everyone involved in securing a new lot for us.

Please, by all means, locate and secure more venues!!

As for more runs, that's a delicate balancing act. Too many=long events.

Remember that we have one of the larger venues in the country in MW, where courses can easily reach 90 seconds, but we have trouble getting consistent attendance there. PMS is about as convenient as it gets in terms of location and amenities, but its small. TMS is a happy medium, but is low-grip and expensive.

If you want to be really helpful, find a way to get access to the Joint Reserve Base in FW and/or the old Naval Air Station in West Dallas(owned by the City of Dallas at this point)!

PCA has run at The Ballpark in Arlington a few times. Timing can be an issue and and it costs like TMS but the venue was great. Travis can probably supply a contact.

I believe it cost quite a bit more than TMS -- like $3000+. We also have to pay for some potties to be delivered to the site. Too much money.
