Hey, absolutely no offence meant but I often wonder why so many miata owners depower the PS rack. I drove one and found it exhausting at low speeds. Maybe for a track car? But it seems like routine wrestle against the car for a daily driver.
I also kept the AC compressor in as I found TX summer intolerable without functional AC. oh BTW, does your CC work when you removed it? If it does I might buy it from you.

I had the power steering removed, but at track days with 6x20 minute sessions your arms and shoulders take a beating, this results in your driving consistency deteriorating. Luckily I just looped the power steering line and not the complete depower as shown by FM http://www.flyinmiata.com/tech/depower.php?x=1. which will be costly to reverse.

I agree. I like my PS and my AC. And my CC, too.

everything worked when i removed it. A lot of people depower the PS for a better feel of the road and to tell when the car will understeer. I did it for that reason and less drag on the engine. Honestly I have already noticed increase in acceleration and slightly better fuel economy. I can live without a/c. im used to riding my motorcycle in full gear in the summer. My old roomate had his lines looped on his neon that i drove quite often to i am already used to the feel of it. Plus my old truck had no power steering.

oh and todays progress i put new pads on the car. Found the old pads had like 1/16" pad left. Then the front calipers were leaking so i took those apart and cleaned them and sanded the insides with 1000 grit. Bled brakes when i was finished an now no more leaking and i actually have brakes now! I also replaced the CAS o-ring. Tomorrow im hoping to replace the timing belt since there is no telling when the last time that was done and paint my valve cover. Monday im going to my friends who said i could take whatever i want off the 94 miata in his backyard

So am I correcct that you ccompletly removed your radiator overflow bottle? I have a feeling you are going to regret that decission come summer time.

But if you don't need it and it is the same as the 1.8 cars I'll take it. Mine is all dried out and cracking on the top.

Installed my braces from flyin miata tonight. Still waiting on suspension and other bits. Hopefully tomorrow I can get started on rolling my fenders

You should just start a whole new post that is a build thread since you have your miata now.
