    Default Miata has trouble starting

Hey guys, I've hit a snag with my 95 Miata. I just finished installing a short ram air intake, but now when I start my car, the engine will immediately die after about 2-3 seconds. I've noticed that there are two vacuum hoses running from the intake to the engine. I reconnected one and placed a filter on the larger one on the passenger side of the engine bay.

I'm not sure what is a matter. I've generally unplugged the battery for about 30 min on all my old installs to restart the ECU for the increased airflow, but haven't done that yet. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you

MAF is in the way it was before, plugged in. I checked the seal from the filter to the sensor and from intake to sensor, both were sealed tightly.

Put it back to stock and see if the problem goes away.

I'll try and put it back to stock, but only issue is that the air filter box was not sealing because the plastic tabs around the box were broken off, so I needed to replace it somehow. I figured why not upgrade to SRI

Sounds like you have a vacumn leak. make sure those hoses still attach to what they originally attached to.
