    Exclamation Free track day!

Sorry for the late notice but I just found out about this. This is a great opportunity for track beginners and first timers. No helmet or rollbars needed.

**OPEN FREE TRACK DAY AT EAGLES CANYON RACEWAY THIS SATURDAY**

This coming Saturday, we will be hosting a FREE track day experience at Eagles Canyon Raceway, directly after Cars and Coffee. The track day will consist of lead and follow groups. We will be hosting open "sporty" street cars to full race cars from 11AM until dark on Saturday.

This is a FREE chance to explore the track, get a feel for what road racing is all about. We are allowing sports to sporty type cars, street cars to full blown race cars, to get out on track behind a pace car to engage in some high-level touring around the track. A possible full open "hot" track session for full race cars might take place, as well, this is also a Eagles Canyon Raceway member day, so you'll see some cars in action throughout the day

We will have classroom time in the clubhouse before each session to explain everything to you, as well as the ECR grill fired up! We'll call it "Cars and Lunch, at ECR".

So come out, spectate, join in, enjoy the afternoon... weather is calling for mid 60s/sunny!

No helmet, open to anyone? Advertised by Jared "Ricekiller" Guynes on Facebook?

Sounds like a recipe for disaster. Think I'll sit this one out.

LOL. I was intrigued (since my Dad is in town) until I read the rules/requirements (or lack thereof). I almost want to go take video; should be youtube gold!

I posted this for the benefit of newbies who've never been on a track and would like to check it out for FREE. It won't be much fun for advanced drivers and especially jaded opinionated ones.

No offense Nails, but I really think this is the worst place for a novice to be, based on the potential for the unexpected and crowding. I appreciate your publicizing it nonetheless.

    +1.

It's always great to hear about car related events, so don't let the comments dissuade you (and others) from posting. It just seems like the structure of this event could actually hinder someone from becoming a track junkie.

Dang, sorry I decided to skip. Not like I've been to that many track days, but I have had an a-hole spin himself right in front of me and nearly get me. Assumed the worst from random strangers at the ECR track event.

Thanks for posting this Nails. We, the unjaded newbs, understand that sometimes tracks will do stuff like this to introduce more prospective customers to their product, and that the rules will vary for events like this depending on the skill level of the drivers. I would have loved a second chance to drive that track. Wish I had seen this sooner. Please keep em coming. Oh, and how did you hear about it? Is there an email distribution list that I need to get on from ECR? Did one of the members let you know?
