Is STR full of procrastinators? 11 entries seems pretty light.

Despite the POS threat, I'm considering joining the festivities.

Ok guys, complete newbie here, so don't laugh. The registration list has assigned me #1 (that's funny actually) in STR class -- I assume this is the number that goes on the side of my car? Time to find my painter's tape.

Also - I hope nobody protests that I have the full length AEM CAI. I suppose it would make a difference if I was also bringing some driving talent.

That's correct. Blue tape is fine (as long as it has some contrast to your paint color). You'll need STR 1 on both doors.

Sounds like you'd be better off in Novice class.

Yea Novice class is a great way to learn the ropes and get some extra guidance on playing autocross.

Was wondering about that. Can someone run in novice regardless of their car's mods? I guess I was only looking through that lens when I registered.

Lots to learn here and looking forward to it.

Novice is not about the car it is about the driver.

^ Thanks! That's very helpful. I'll have to make the registration adjustment when I get there.

Btw, I'm roadster-nh on miata.net in case we've conversed over there before.

Fun event, wish I had time to stick around for trophies. IMO, I thought the course was "good, not great" (check is in the mail Jerrett). I really enjoyed the first half but the second half was pretty tough.

I have a course design question. Is there any way we can use a different corner for grid? It always seems that we do big braking maneuvers in the SE corner of the lot that has the worst build-up of dirt. Could we possibly put grid way out on the other side of the lot? I understand that cars couldn't leave grid until everyone was done with the heat, but it could open up that current grid area for some new options (unless the grid area is a no-no zone full of bad asphalt)...

I agree with BMcCann, the end of the course was tough. I agree with BMcCann, the end of the course was tough. Overall it was a fun course and lots of great competition in STR today. It's been a long time since I've been to an SCCA event so it was great to see some familiar faces.

I noticed on the sharp 180 you can see the pivot cone in Miatamoto's video but not POS Racing's. Tight was key there.

Thanks for letting me co-drive Miatamoto what an awesome car!

Fun event and decent course but the course needed more Fithian to be a great course!
