    Default Equipe Rapide Double Header Weekend Nov 2-3

    Greetings,

    Equipe Rapide will be hosting a double header event November 2-3 in Mineral Wells.

    Saturday November 2nd will be a mirrorcross. There are two mirror image courses. Competitors line up two at a time. (grudge matching is encouraged) We have an NHRA style Christmas tree to start the cars. At the conclusion of your run you immediately run on the other side. You flip flop back and forth until you have four runs on each side in the AM session. Then you go back to the paddock. Repeat in the PM session. This gives you a total of 16 runs, 8 on each side. We are paying Rapide PAX money on each side so you have the chance to win double money. National Champion and Pro-Solo expert David Whitener is designing the course.
    Saturday night Equipe Rapide is hosting a pizza party in Mineral Wells for all those that signed up for the Saturday event.

    Sunday November 3rd is a conventional autocross. It is the season finale! I hope to see you there.

    Just got an email from the Days Inn for special Equipe Rapide rates. Just mention Equipe Rapide when you book.

    $60 for the king room
    $65 for the double queens
    $65 for our one-room king suite, has couch and double lavatory
    The two-room king suite would be $85.
    These rates are for up to 2 people, and only $5 per extra person.

    We will be closing online registration on Thursday night at midnight for both the Saturday and Sunday events so we have a chance to get the computers set up for both days. Hope to see you out there. Weather looks great.

    This weekend is shaping-up to be terrific autox weather. Mirrorcross shenanigans Saturday, followed by a free pizza party and then the finale on Sunday. There are several classes whose champions will be decided by who shows-up and trophies in these last two events! Don't miss-out; the off-season gets mighty long when you start it a month early.

    So Saturday gave us a very tight and busy set of courses that mimicked the types of courses used in other regions of the country. Sunday was a fast and fun Texas course.

    People hated Saturday's course.

    People loved Sunday's course.

    I hated Sat's course only because I never mastered it. Not sure if it was crappy tires, skill, or this little girl just didn't have her head in the game, but I feel like I could take another 10 runs on it and then maybe get it. It had a lot of elements and required a lot of work and skill.

    After four runs on Sunday's course, I felt like I had pretty much reached my max. It was a fun course, but easy to master for someone who's been doing this a while. I often feel the same about my own courses.

    I had more fun on Sunday's course, but I respect Saturday's course more.

    Nice job to both designers.
