Thread: ECR Toy Run - Saturday, December 6, 2014

Might have to run in a slower group to avoid being lapped repeatedly. :)

What are the lap times for the Showroom Stock classes?

Edit: Looks like the TTF record is somewhere around 2:15, so I guess I'll make that my target. I was about 10 sec slower on the 1.3 @ MSR in the Mini this year compared to last time I ran the NC, so I'm thinking anything within 20 sec of my old PB at ECR will be a win.

Anybody wanna venture a guess on what the base Mini on 205 street tires (AD08R) on 15x6.5 should be able to run, all stock except RSB?

    2:15 sounds about right.

Is this the form they want emailed or faxed? http://eaglescanyon.com/wp-content/u...Inspection.pdf

If so, what are the qualifications for the inspector? I was at the Lone Star Miata event at ECR earlier in the year so I've been to the track once before, if that changes anything. And I assume they take the $50 cash on arrival along with the present and non-perishables?

Under 2:10 is gonna be tough on street rubber, I suspect. Worth a shot!

Inspect the car yourself. Pay $50 at the site.

I would be mighty impressed if a base mini could run 2:10 even on ho hos. That's like a stock S2000 time. But then again those things have no soul.

I don't think anyone has posted this link, so here is the tech sheet:

I bet keno could do it with a might boot of LFB in every turn. It would be a hero lap, destroying the tires, ediff, brakes and all of the syncros.

OK, I'm game! Hooray for MINI service plan!

BTW - why not bring the Porsche out to the Toy Run?

Too much traffic at this event to get a clean lap usually. Not the best day to try.

We'll know by the alarm blaring.

Yup. I'm going for a full sensory assault. The paint will blind you and the alarm will make you go deaf.

Just read in the paper that I-35W will be shut down in both directions this weekend for the destruction of the 28th street bridge (Fort Worth - south of 820 and north of I30). Plan accordingly!

Toy Run is the perfect time to bring the P-car. Too much traffic to really go bonkers, so it's a good time to run laps at 8/10ths. That's my plan, at least. I really DON'T want to turn the p-car into my track toy...
