Lightbulb Need Tidbits from College Station Champ Tour Veterans

    Hello Everyone

I am going to be helping the National Office this year with some News Editor stuff for our Texas SCCA National events. First up is the Champ Tour in College Station, and I need some input from all you veterans. I'll be writing a series of articles for the Solo Matters website leading up to, during and post-event.

Given that I haven't been to this event before I am starting from scratch. So, I could use some help with

    1. Funny Facts and Tidbits about the Site, City, etc.? - Johnny Football Jokes are allowed :)
    2. Interesting things about the site, the courses, the surface, etc.
    3. History and Stories on Epic Parties we've had in the past, etc.
    4. Any information about competitors, who dominates here, who can we give the hardest time, any celebrity appearances (Andy Hollis, etc. lol)
    5. Anything else you think may be helpful for me to know about this event to promote it.

This is also your chance to get your name mentioned in what I write -- haha!

Feel free to PM me or email me at davidantx at verizon dot net ... or even post here if you have something you think could help me build up the event.

    -David

Also if any of you have any great Go Pro Videos from past events that are on youtube, I'd like to see them and maybe include in a pre-event article.

    Here are last years courses:

Things needed to know about the site:

    - Some say that the concrete is the closest surface to Lincoln in the country.
    - Has some surprising bumps here and there
    - Epic parties are not allowed...the site does not allow alcohol. However, there are a few hotels around there that tend to be the hot spots.
    - Last year had a ton of CP cars...I wonder if that will happen again?
    - Weather can be a factor...last year was great but the year previous was VERY cold and windy.
