The last I heard, Chevy was scrambling to go aluminium with their next gen truck. If they do, how do they back-track on this and past commercials?

I would venture to say that 90% of the pickups sold never carry more than a bag of groceries in their beds.
What's left of a '96 Miata with stock clutch.
My car exceeds my driving ability. That's the only possible explanation.

My factory spray on bed liner will protect my coke can truck bed!

The test results are not surprising. Steel is more malleable than aluminum. I might have bought a 2015 Chevy if they had not been so butt ugly.
    1990 White NA - SOLD
    1994 Black NA - SOLD
2006 Red NC - GT with limited slip, HIDs, all OEM.

What would also be interesting to see is this same test done on a Toyota Tacoma or the Honda Ridgeline with their composite beds.

Dumping anything in to the bed of your truck without a Rhino Liner (or any good spray in liner) is not a good idea... steel or aluminum...

Just watched the video. If that happens, your next move is to jump out of your Ford and bitch slap the loader.

PS - I have a heavy rubber mat in my F150 bed, but it's a '97, so it's good ol' Merican, er Canadian, steel!

True story! Especially when ya consider how much some of these new trucks cost.

But it does happen had the Ranger at the scrap yard and had some steel fall back in the bed while it was being unloaded. Dented it pretty good but that is the beauty of a low dollar truck. Got under the truck when I got it home beat it with a hammer and ended up with a smaller dent.

If you believe the Video that would have pierced one of them new fangled Fords.... And it may have possibly burst into flames!!!
