Horse Stuff

As some of you may know... My "other" hobby is my horse, Othello.

Just a short brag on our show this last weekend.

Othello and I placed first in the "Open Novice-A" division at the Trinity River Horse Trials in downtown Ft. Worth. We beat out 22 other riders for this. We received 32.5 faults on Dressage and went clean on cross country and stadium jumping. There was only 4 points separating first and 6th places, so a single rail in my last phase would have put me out of the running.

It was really awesome to hear the 75 or people watching cheering when I finished... really an incredible weekend.

Now I've never seen a miata pull a horse trailer, you should try it.

My in laws took a picture of a miata pulling a camping trailer in France. The thing was at least 2 feet wider than the miata and 3 feet taller. I don't know how he was pulling it off. It even had big side mirrors to see next to the trailer, I have to find that picture.
