Thread: Time To Cruise (M1)

    Default Time To Cruise (M1)

Sammm is attempting to add cruise control to his CB Racer. We are using the POS Racer as a guide!

My car has 14 Wires going into the cruise control computer box.

There are 6 on one row of the plug, and 8 on the other row of the plug. I unpluged it from the box so I could get a better view of the wires.

The row with eight wires has the following wires.
    |Green/Black|Black/Yellow|Yellow|Black/White|Red/Blue|Red/White|Green/Pink|Black|

The Row with six wires has the following wires>
    |Green/Yellow|Green/Tan|Red|Green|Pink|White/green|

    Why yes I do!
I have the same number of wires/colors as POS, the actuator under the hood does connect to the accel. pedal thru the firewall. Everything matches up EXCEPT the main cruise switch on the lower left dash. Different plug profile than the one in my dash.

Yep, that's the one. The plug behind the dash is a rectangle, with 3 pins on top, and 3 on the bottom. The switch I got has 4 pins on top and 2 on the bottom with 2 'dividers' on the bottom section. I also notice that I only have 4 wires in the run, and you have 6. I have a feeling that's probably where that infamous speed-sensor wire is! I think I'm SOL on the factory cruze.

POS - no luck finding the correct plug hiding behind the dash somewhere. Audiovox here I come!

If the wiring was there, it's would be a piece of cake! If not, it is probably not worth the effort.

Well we have some folks wanting to clean throttle bodies, and your cruise install. Sounds like we could use a tech day!

When is you cruise due to arrive?
