I crank my stereo everytime I can... oh... wait...
Sorry... no stereo. But even if I did, I wouldn't... I prefer thinking about the course and how I can best (yeah right!) get through without screwing up.
Just wondering if I'm the only one that listens to music before I run. Rode with Buzz Draper once, and he blasted some AC/DC from grid to startline (buslot). Anybody else, I like Three Days Grace before I run. Not sure if onething has that in his cd player.

I dont listen to music. I try and drive the run in my head just before. Silence is best for that.
Yeah, sometimes I'll blast some music on the way to the line to get pumped up. I prefer something like The Cult's "Lil' Devil" or Crystal Method's "Trip Like I Do".
lugnutjon has been known to drive the course with tunes blaring. I dunno if it helps him or not, though.

Wouldn't you actually need to attend an autocross to answer this question 3Bean?Originally Posted by Treibenschnell

Hard to go wrong with some Cult! (She's Sell Sanctuary is one of the best rock songs all of time) I've wondered about this too, but have never tried AX with music blasting.Originally Posted by altiain

I usually turn it off before I run, actually havent been able to in onething's car. Don't ever touch an old man's radio!

Yep, me too. The Ticket, Bavarian Oomph Music or Books-on-tape/CD don't do anything to "jazz me up" for an autocross run.Originally Posted by Majik

I've always driven in silence, but I've been tempted to try some relaxing classics - I'm always inspired by the Stig (a la Top Gear) who always drives with classical music on. Maybe it would help to be relaxed and smooth?
This is a question that's been on my mind for a bit. I guess I won't have a suitable answer for my own purposes until I actually make a few rounds on some courses.
Yeah, there, I said it. I just knew this car would get me into trouble!
While this particular tune is great, I tend to prefer "Fire Woman" or "Love Removal Machine". Ever notice how so many Cult songs sound like different verses of the same tune? Weird...Originally Posted by sammm

If it's The Cult, it's hard to go wrong IMHO. Bring the '92 out and shake some of those cob-webs out of it! You and the car will be happy when you do!Originally Posted by juxt3r
I like Satriani when driving, no lyrics just rippin guitar and thumping bass and drum lines, I think one of his songs is actually called "Driving at Night"
Thats a great driving song, and "House full of Bullets", or "Borg Sex"

I too will listen as I'm sitting in grid and at the line. I usually play some tool or finger eleven. I've yet to jam on course, though I think it would be funny.
