Thread: Moving to Austin !

    Default Moving to Austin !

My office is being combined with the Ft. Worth office in October, and I could see the writing on the wall ( too many chiefs... not enough indians), so I started looking around last month.

My Mom lives in San Antonio, so Austin is close enough and far away enough....

I saw an add in the Austin newspaper for a Financial Director for Easter Seals, and called my friend in Austin who runs another non-profit. Well it turns out they were looking for a Financial Director as well. So I interviewed on Monday and will know by next Friday(21st) - very good shot at this job.

If the job doesnt work out, I sleep on my mom's spare room and look for a job in S.A. Friday is my last work day, so next week I am going to start packing up and throwing crap out... and I need to reinstall the tranny in the x1/9.....

It has been lots of fun and you are a great group of guys and I will miss you.

Well that sucks that things fell apart at Lexus... I hope things work out for you in Austin. Perhaps a bunch of us can make a run down there once you are settled in.

Can we still drag you up here for an annual day at the ranch?

The good thing is that they have this thing called the internet down in Austin... although I'm not sure about San Antonio. You'll be able to keep in contact anytime you'd like!!

Now as for the Ghia, I'll pick it up later this week.

    Who are you again?

Just kiddin', Chris. Good luck in Austin! Don't be a stranger - after all, who's going to help you pull the next motor?

The Tejas club is a lot of fun and there are great roads down there. You'll like it, except for the traffic. The beginning of OfficeSpace cracks me up because it's so true, and it was filmed there.
